Print too small?

I don't know about you, I swear that the print on the screen is getting smaller!

Of course, for a few years now (and especially since having Lasik done), I've been using reading glasses, but sometimes I just want to take a quick peak at the screen without having to find where I left yet another pair of glasses. (Do you keep them all over the house and in the car like I do?)

So this morning, I hit something on my keyboard and the print on the screen got larger. I had no idea what I did, so as usual, I googled the problem.

I don't know about on Macs, but on a PC all you need to do (which was not what I did to begin with, but it still works) is hit:

-->Control and the plus or minus sign to make the print (actually the entire page including graphics) larger or smaller.

Very cool!

Who else wants a free book?

OlderWiserWomen and Celebrations is ready to grow, but we need your help! If you believe that you get value from being part of the OlderWiserWomen community, then we'd like you to refer your friends and colleagues.

How does this work? From December 1 through December 31, 2005, we'll keep track of all new subscription to Celebrations. If you remember, there is a place where you can indicate how you found us...in this case, the women you refer need to put YOUR email address in that box (the email address you are signed up with). That's important so you get the credit.

Ah....but what do you get out of this? Aside from our undying appreciation, those who subscribe a minimum of 5 people will receive their own copy of our booklet "Tips for Successful Aging and Vibrant Living". However the top 3 people who refer individuals for new subscriptions, will receive their very own copy of Inspiration to Realization, Vol II, mailed directly to you!

Okay, here are those guidelines again...

  1. Referring person must be a current subscriber.
  2. The indiviudal you refer must include your email address in the "how did you learn about us" box. This must be the same email you are currently subscribed with. It's our only way of tracking.
  3. Referred individuals must be new subscribers.
  4. You only get credit if they indicate you referred them.
  5. Subscriptions are date and time stamped using Eastern time. Ony new subscriptions logged between 00:01 on 12/1/05 and 11:50pm on 12/31/05 will count for this contest.
  6. Should there be a tie on 1/1/06, OlderWiserWomen will randomly draw three names from the top winners.
Visit Celebrations, the official newsletter for OlderWiserWomen for further details.

Older Women and HIV

World AIDS Day was December 1st. Sometimes, when we thinking of HIV infection and AIDS we don't see the face of older women. But we need to. I wrote this article last year, and unfortunately it is still pertinent to women.

Take a look. Read it. Pass it on to your friends.

Older Women and HIV

Stay safe out there.
